I'm wondering if for the N800 with a bluetooth GPS attached there are any TODO lists that support location based to-do lists.

The things I'm thinking is that if I put in my dry-cleaners location when I get within a certain distance (as measured by the GPS) of the dry-cleaners the TODO list would pop-up and tell me to pick up dry cleaning. Same thing for store etc.

I'd Also like a location aware to-do list switcher where if I mark a task as home it shows up when I'm at home, or all my work tasks would show up when it saw I was at my office.

I realize these are big tasks but would be rather helpful.

I agree that would be really useful. I remember this being discussed a while ago, possibly in one of the Maemo Mapper threads. It was generally agreed to be a great idea there as well . Nothing concrete came out of that discussion however, IIRC.

Benny

Yea I saw that, but reading through didn't seem to give a definitive answer as to weather something truly existed or not. Thanks for the link though.

Yah, that's the one I was thinking of. Thanks for the link. Rereading it (even all the stuff about the potential of picking up girls with your IT ) confirmed that there's no solution right now. Still a neat idea for a developer looking for a project. Maybe one day .

I think once we get geoclue working decently it would be possible, but as it stands right now, especially with the fact that the gps is hardly ever always on it would be pretty hard to work up.
