Ok so somehow my internal memory card got corrupted, couldn't even read from it, so I managed to get windows to reformat it.

Everything is working swell, except that I cannot install any programs.

Is there anything that I am missing that was installed with the original os2008 install that was supposed to be on the internal memory?

If so, how do I install os2008 from scratch?

You must format the MMC from the device itself, not from Windows.
Use File Manager -> Toosl -> Format memory card
and I hope it is not grayed away as with me.
Anybody knows why it's grayed away ? I have removed virual memory.

Actually, I formatted it from windows and it works 100%, I reflashed down to a really old firmware and it fixed and restored the original files!

thanks

You might have a badly partitioned internal card.

Open an xterm and run the command

cat /proc/partitions

If the number to the left of mmcblk1p1is larger than the number to the left of mmcblk1, then you need to repartition the internal flash, otherwise it will corrupt again.
