Is there a way to force a codec in the built in sip client, Im assuming it uses g711 by default and I would like ilbc

Is the codec not negotiated between the client and the server? I was under assumption that if server preferred libc, the client will be forced to use that -- am I mistaken?

that is the case however alot of times the user has no control over the server side and its upto the client to initiate the prefered codec
