Introductory story here, explaining my current situation and how I got here (for alternative solutions than the one I'm asking for). Feel free to skip to the question below.

About 2 weeks ago my N810 started draining its battery, after some investigation I discovered this to be caused by some media player database daemon (forgot its executable name). Just killing it didn't work (it got respawned every time).

So I searched for a way to disable it, I found one. The suggested way was to rename the executable so that it couldn't be found anymore (doh! should have thought of that hack myself).

Then I rebooted only to find it got stuck in an infinite reboot cycle (some kernel process with jffs2 in its name was eating most of the CPU). I.e. it still booted, I still had about 1 minute after that before it would reboot.

Obviously my first thought was this to be caused by the renaming of that media db daemon executable. So I changed its name back..... Now, that, I probably shouldn't have done. From that moment on forward my N810 doesn't go past the loading screen (with the loading bar) anymore. It just hangs there for a while (until the watchdog kicks in probably) and reboots.

The Question

Either way, the only course of action as I see it now is to reinstall. However, I've got most of my data backed up, but not all. Thus I was hoping if there's a way of backing up the data on my internal flash card without having to boot the thing?
