Good evening,

I'm fairly new to the n810 scene, but I've been playing around with mine for about a month.I've done some reading, and some hacking, and I've come to a very bad conclusion:

Apparently, the built in chat application only works with Google Talk / Facebook.

I'm not even capable of logging into a Jabber server. I've tried this with 3 different servers, but I keep getting a Network Error.

I've also tried to install RTCOMM Beta, but the instructions seem to only confuse me more, and all I continue to receive are Network Errors.

Am I doing something horribly wrong? Are there any tips that I should be aware of? Is there not a simpler way to install RTCOMM? Does RTCOMM work at all any more? Why can't i get a vanilla install to connect to a jabber server that's not Facebook?
