Long ago, I bought a Palm m125. I still use it, and it works well. Mostly I use it to type things and the occational AvantGo stuff. Then, I played with a Palm TX and blown away by the ability to surf the internet on a mobile device. I considered buying, I did not, due to the price. Then, I heard about the Nokia Internet Tablet a while back. I saw it on Engadget and said; cool, then went to the next story. The problem came when I saw the N770 in a store. It was perfect, sortof. Skip to now with the N800, and a certain amount of money, what exactly can this device do? I know it can serve as a portable internet window and also internet radio (which hasn't worked well in my experience). But what about word processors, videos, games, music? Will it work with a sling box? Also, will Nokia stand by this line of products for a long time to come? Would this be a good platform to get started in developing. What about battery life, replacement batteries?
Thank you,

It would be a helluva lot easier on all of us if you just started reading what's already written here.

Here's the list of available apps for the Internet Tables (770 and N800, most in the list should work for the N800). Should help you work out what it can do.
