I'm not sure how to say this to make myself clear and not making any enemies in the same go.

Ok.

Applications and the Icons they use on the Desktop or in the "More" folder/store or whatever have made me think many times that this is a confusing and irritating way of doing things. Lets take Windows Desktop (that most of the "real" community here will hate me for just mentioning) and i do mention it because that's my life and living. Desktop Icons have a look, name and description. You can change it very easy (except in some cases), so my point here does not really apply other than helping me describe what i want. Several nice/great/good/useful/not great, applications available to install use very similar and often not graphically intuitive describing icons AND no way (as i know of) to have little text labels under them.

Solution to this from the developers/community? or is it "you ignorant bastard, shut up if you do not like what you get, do it yourself".
