hi there,
nice, to see u all, im new to this site, and new to the linux/maemo stuff so bear with me please
so, ive been playing around with mu n900 about a week now, installing and uninstalling apps etc.
one of the first apps i installed was fmtx faker, which enables the use of the fm transmitter in countries where it is disabled by default.
then installed a load of other apps.
so at some point i noticed i could not sync my new contacts with my pc. even tried with my laptop, still the result was that my N900 appeared grayed-out in the "phone selector" window of "nokia pc sync"
pc suite also recognized the phone as connected but i could noway see the contents of my phone (contacts etc)
i could only communicate when connected as mass storage device.

so i went back, used NSU to reflash a couple of times, until this morning when after reflashing i started installing apps, then rebooting and checked pc connection.
(the pc connection always worked flawlessly after reflashing)

right after installing FMTX faker and rebooting, the connectivity went down again. tried uninstalling/reboting but no luck.

now i just reflashed and will install everything i need excluding fmtx, and thus loosing the fm transmitter capabilities of my phone until something else comes along.

now my question is whether someone else came accross something similar?
is there a way to fix the pc connectivity while using fmtx?
some other workaround to enable the transmitter?
i should also say that my results came 100% through trial and errror methods, so there might be something im missing and im accusing this useful utility with no reason. if so, please advice

thank you all and nice to meet u
