I really am a noob at this stuff.

I wanted to try and overclock my N900 abit to make it faster and i installed the power kernel, then i got abit lost and didnt do anymore.

I restarted and it was working fine

I then decided i best go back to normal kernel. I found a guide here

i did that and i got the message

so i restared the phone and now all i get is it turns on, gets the white nokia screen, i get a vibrate then it restarts again and again and again.

I have tried taking the battery out. i just cant get it to turn on

Please please help!

also ps is there a way to do it without loosing all my stuff?

this happened to me, you need to reflash with the firmwire. Download flasher.exe (Search for the instuctions on here) then just reflash the firmware.

You'll lose all your apps and settings, but your conversations and contacts will still be there.

i tell you what, i just nearly **** a brick.

I found someone else saying about that flasher and just followed the instructions.

Just this second it has turned back on. i was really shitting meself lol.

oh god now it says the simcard is not working, i get a little cross with a simcard symbol at the top of the screen.

What next? im in the UK. i chose RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.44-1.203.4_PR_F5_203_ARM.bin as my flash... is that wrong?

I'm in UK too and I used RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1.203.1_PR_COMBINED_203_ARM.bin

I think you have very old firmware so the sim wont work!

try using the global one
i had the sim problem too
just reflash it again
it will work

Yes it happened to me too when I reflashed with a previous version of the firmware - phone doesn't work. Just use the last version.
