ive linked my n900 to windows xp media player and synced all the songs onto the n900.

now all the songs are only in media player once yet on the n900 it seems to have added alot of songs twice.

i deleted the music folder on my n900 and tried again and the same thing.

when i open the music folder on the n900 and search i only get one entry for that song/file. but again when i open music player its there twice.

any clues?

All I can suggest is clearing the index and letting it redetect the songs - sometimes it seems to get confused. In X Terminal, run (as the normal user):
Code:
tracker-processes -r
Then launch Media Player to restart the indexing. It'll take a while to index though (and really slows down the phone while it's doing so).

Are the songs actually on there twice? Have you checked in File Manager?

Are you sure there's not a copy on the memory card as well as in the internal memory?
