hi

i hope somebody could shed some light on this i have taken out an 2gb sd card from my N95 and the N900 doesnt seem to pick it up but it works perfectly well in the N95?

please advise.

No idea if this helps but, first time i put a memory card in my n900 it didn't work either. I double checked mine and discovered it will fit without making contact.

Older micro sdhc cards should work in shdc2 devices, just not other way round.

thanks for that so you mean its just a loose fit? i guess ill have to just copy it all onto another card is this another design flaw?

Wouldn't describe it as a design fault, I would just say be very careful when lining the card up with the slot, its possible to 'fit' it without any of the contacts touching.

Your card should work perfectly

There's also an issue with some cards which are set up with the data not on the first partition. See http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=43913 for how to check and fix this.
