Is there some problem with the autobuilder right now?
it took me about 45 minutes yesterday evening to get the extras assistant to successfully do the 'copy files to queue' step after uploading.
I say 'successfully' I mean it claimed it had worked.

However there has been no further feedback since, the build queue information claims there is nothing in any build queue.
This is not the first time that the submission process has taken many hours to do anything, but I find the lack of any indication very frustrating. If the servers are having trouble or the queue is long or whathever it would be nice to see that.
It would help if there was any obvious place to see that my job really is in a queue waiting rather than lost in the ether.

Does anyone else have these frustrations? Is there anything we can do to try to make this process less frustrating?

If Witter isn't working for you, eg crashes/doesn't start, gives errors etc etc. Please run it from x-term using:
run-standalone.sh python2.5 /opt/witter/witter.py

This will generate diagnostic output. Without this I cannot help you.

ive had the mentioned issues but that was because the autobuilder was down.
Yes, I agree with you , there is a need to show some status on the autobuilder and also the queue contents so you know your package is there rather than just wait to see the build result.
Hope someone is already checking it, since this happens most often on weekends thats when I upload.

There was an issue with the connection between builder and the repository, but that was resolved a few hours ago.

There are currently no packages waiting in the queue.

So I presume I have to upload my files again.
Is there anything I can do to help make this more robust? It has to be said this sort of issue, small though it seems, really puts me off bothering to share my application through the repos. It would be a lot less hassle to just make it available separately for anyone that cares to take it.
But I *want* the repos to be the easy/convenient answer to encourage others.

Separately to this, but related in terms of what I'm trying to do. I have not been able to refresh extras-devel on my device in the last couple of days.
Extras-testing is fine. Other people have already picked up the update to witter that I uploaded. but for some reason I am consistently failing to refresh that catalog.

Anyone else having trouble?

I have these problems too.
Manual "apt-get update" updates extras-devel though.

OK. I know what is the problem with not updating extras-devel list sometimes - "No space left on device".
