The nominal voltage for the li-ion batteries is 3.7V, but they get charged up to 4.2V. While they discharge, the voltage will fall to 3.7V (and below, under load). My original battery is at about 4.125V right now, according to battery-eye.

4.2 V mean battery is fully charged and can be discharged near 3V

4.2V is about right for a full lithium-ion battery. You have nothing to worry about.

doesnt matter about warranty. if it was advertised as 1930MaH then if it isnt you can return it.
either its faulty or they would be in breach of the trade descriptions act..which means big trouble for them if it is deliberate

i bought a battery from u.k. with a sticker on it... 1930mAh/3.7V. but i think there is something wrong. batmon says it has 4200mV not 3.7V like the orginal battery... my device works well, but do you think it will damage my device?
