activate it for what? if you just want to see it working there is an app called "mirror" which does that.

When you make a new thread you should try and be specific to what the thread should be about. that way, maemo.org can give you a list of suggestions from threads that are similar. you may find what you are looking for is already available. for example : Help, How to use x terminal. is better than " HELP" AND "HELP, HOW TO USE X TERMINAL TO INSTAL DEBIAN PACKAGES" is better than " help, how to use x terminal"

there are a bunch of threads talking about that mirror app. by the way. you can do a search for like "secondary camera" or "mirror application" I am sure something is bound to come out.

X terminal is awesome i think... if you want to learn how to use it. I don't know much about it but i am learning myself and if you have any specific questions i am all game to try and help you figure them out. It can be over confusing to say the least about trying to figure things out here @ maemo.org. a lot of people here don't seem to have patience for people who are new to linux . Most are liek developers and stuff and they assume folks know things that us new folks just don't know. If this happens to u don't take it personal. just be diligent and self motivated.

also i did a lot of google searching for terms that i found here in maemo.org. OH yeah.. you can also do a search thread in here for " x terminal" in maemo talk to get more info.

I had a lot of people tell me i didn't need x terminal, Funny thing, these were the same people who use x terminal themselves. Come to find out i actually did need it to do a lot of things. like installing sygic maps (pirated or official version). Zipping and unzipping files(rar etc) some packages are only available via debian x terminal installs.

either way. if u decide to experience the full potential of your phone through things like x terminal and what not, be sure to do considerable research and heed all warnings associated with digging that deep into your phone. you can seriously jack it up. OH YEAH!!! one more thing. google can be your best friend when learning the n900

HAVE A BAST AND HOPE YOU ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS I DO
