Hello, i really know nothing about programming but im sure everyone would agree with me that maemo would kick everyones *** if we could get iphone and android apps running on it. Why isn't it possible? Are they written in different languages? Could it be possible to write an emulator for these apps or just to 'convert' the apps in the maemo language? Could Qt solve this?

I'm sorry if I sound like a real newb (that's because I AM a real newb) I just wanted to know this

We all have to start somewhere.

The short answer is No.

The long answer is No way in hell. Apple and Android are completely different operating systems. It's like trying to run Mac software in Windows, Windows software on your Wii, or a Wii game on a PS3.

Or like trying to make toast in your washing machine.
