Hi there (My first thread so go easy)

I've spent a lot of time looking around this forum but I don't really post that much since there are so many smarter guys around and I am a bit of a noob, but the level of support around here is quite amazing.

Anyway the problem I am having is that allot of the time when I hand my phone to other people (mainly my gf) for more than 5 mins I get it back with all the desktop shortcuts moved around or even deleted. As you may know it's annoying to have to keep moving widgets and shortcuts to get them in the pixel perfect position.

I have tried yelling at her and I tried beating her but it's no good so I was wondering if there is something I could do with the phone to lock these in-place. I did a good few power searches but found nothing that matched and I haven't found any app to do this either. So if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great, ideally I would like a widget that could enable/disable editing of the desktop.

I'm not even sure this could be done, so if you have any insight to this matter please let me know.

All the best
Paddy

Erm... Extreme reaction much?

This was a problem for me in pre-Fremantle as well. Even more so.

You could use actman (Desktop Activity Manager), and create "backups."

Have two identical sets configured, and when one gets messed up, load the other, delete the old, and duplicate the new one. Doesn't take long.

You should be able to Backup the bookmarks, then when there's a problem restore them. I think that will put them in their original spots.

Cheers mate!
Extreme...,,er ..,.., nah shes got to "respect my authority"
I didn't know that was possible, will it work for all the different home screens and what else would it back up?

Edit: For some reason the bookmarks are the only things that never seem to get moved.
