Please use search prior posting Its been discussed to update or not and answer is YES ( sorta you have to)

Afaik you cant use Ovi store without PR 1.2 because they were changes to app manager, repositories and much more. Sure it works fine with earlier versions but since its new without too many apps and you didnt discovered too many bugs yet update it OTA to avoid further complications

Ok so whats the best way to update it OTA or manualy? Im all set up to do it manually because I recently had a n900 from dell but I exchanged it with this new one so I already updated the one im going to return with 1.2 manullay with a window xp pc. If you say manualy is fine theres no need to to the vanilla emmc flashing too right? I ask because i never found out yet if you need to do that? Thanks

Well if you dont have anything important like apps, contacts etc. then safest way is to flash completely but again there are bugs in PR 1.2 as well so get be disappointed too much

How to access the OVU store website with version prior to 1.2?
I am sorry, but I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'OVU store'.
If you mean the OVI Store, you can go to http://store.ovi.com

There is a menu item for that from PR 1.1 onwards.

Still, I recommend you to update to PR 1.2. Having the newest version of stuff is always a good thing.
