Hi folks! I plugged in another micro SD in the N900 but the N900 could not red it. I even tried to restart the N900 with the card installed and also could not read. Card was formatted as FAT32. Any ideas?

Open File Manager so that it shows Nokia N900 and Memory Card. Press on the words Memory Card for a few seconds, and Format should be one of the choices, and you should select it.

Thanks. But the memory card didn't appear. I only had the N900 available.

Silly question - have you put the back cover back on? It has a magnet, and when removed unmounts the microsd so it can be swapped safely.

check the cover is on correctly.

Then there is a hardware problem, most likely. Can you see the card anywhere?

Edit: Yes, the magnet is a possible problem.

I even had once a microSD card put in correctly, back cover on, but it didn't appear anywhere.

It was simply a contact problem. Removing the card and putting it back in firmly to get better contact solved the problem.
