could someone plz tell me were the wep key of a wifi conn is stored on an n900.. i have the key on my phone but i wanna be able to access it on my laptop.. i forgot the key.. so simply put.. is there some way to unhide the wep key from n900 settings.. thanx in advance

Don't think there's a way... If you've got access to the router page the password often is stated in clear text if you look.

that is quite a problem. i ended up resetting my router when i forgot the WEP open encryption key.

i see no way so far.

Run in xterm should find you password in there along with all other saved ones.

gconftool -R /system/osso/connectivity/IAP

let me know how u get on.

Just for info, your WEP keys are stored plain text in /var/lib/gconf/system/osso/connectivity/IAP/<connection>/%gconf.xml

EDIT: and I probably should refresh the page a little bit quicker before posting, thanks GEONXT - your method is much easier than going through these files manually.
