I am a member of this community for about a year now and I admit I hadn't been involved with the QA of applications, and I should have. Today I decided I should give my votes to apps I have been using for months and they still are on extras-something.
I realized that it is not so easy to reach the QA system here in maemo.org

Maybe there should be a higher visibility for the system so that long time users of an app could cast their vote so that more (and especially specific) apps get promoted. I am sure that there are not many people that use fmtx-faker because it is only needed in countries that the fmtx is blocked but it works perfectly ok. However it is still on devel...

One solution could be to have a box (like an ad) on the forum in the corresponding thread with a link to the package. Or at least a high visibility link in the community tab. (e.g. brainstorm is much easier to find)

Another problem is that on the device you can't possibly know which apps come from which repository (after install).
