you can use xarchiver to zip files into a password protected zip file

How about creating a folder called private, it wont be indexed by trackerd then

If u want to hide media from the mediaplayer, install tracker-cfg. put all ur data some folder. Open tracker-cfg and add that folder to the "NO watch" List. After that, re build the databases. The tracker wont see those files

but anyway create a folder call .private which mange to hide all videos and pictures....
