As I'm new to my N900, I'd like to find the preferred emulators across multiple consoles.

If anyone will let me know what is working best and is still updated, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

VGB - Gameboy Emu - works great.
VGBA - Gameboy Advance Emu - sucks hard for most games even when overclocked to 1.15Ghz from the default 600Mhz.
Picodrive - Genesis Emu - Awesome Possum, works very well.
DrNokSnes - Super Nintendo Emu - Works very well aside from laggy controls in games like Super Metroid.
iNes - Nintendo Entertainment System Emu - Works very well
SDLMame (I think its called) - Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator - Lacks GPU Acceleration so it doesn't play most games to well.
The Colecovision emulator works very well also, forgot the name though.

There's probably more, but those are the ones that come to my head.

Also, try to use the search feature so that nobody blasts you for not using the search feature instead of just taking 37 seconds to help you out.

Thanks guys! I did a quick search earlier but only saw old threads. Instead of the usual list of them, I'm hoping to find what works best for each console - if that exists already, I do apologize, I just didn't see it.

Emulators are evil.

To prove this, have a look at the url link of this thread. What are the chances that this topic would land itself the #6666?
Coincidence? I don't believe in coincidences.

Spooky indeed..

@xiton

You will find there is normally only one emulator per console apart from mame, playstation and maybe one or two others but not main ones.

Follow the links i put in my post they should point you in the right direction for most of them to read up on, then when you want to install them,

open app manager,
enable repositories extra devel and extra testing (using these repositories is at your own risk they sometimes come with bugs(not viruses) and could harm your phone read up on the app first)
go to download then click on all and type in the name of the emulator you want and click and install.
