I'm searching for some time now and I can't find any instructions how to load bleeding edge wlan drivers on power47 and have them load by default on boot. I currently use the status area applet, nice work, but I would prefer if it was just default, I have been using them for months with modified p46 and there was no need to switch back.

If anyone can help i'd appreciate it.

Not really had a proper look at the bleeding edge drivers but I suppose the load script could just be put in /etc/event.d to load on boot.

Need V47, stable and works fine. It even downloads the drivers for you.

edit: I installed the wifi applet, and copied the "/sbin/load-bleeding-edge-drivers.sh" to "/etc/event.d"

Takes more work than that - look at how normal scripts in /etc/event.d/ are worded - they have lines stating when the script is to be executed and/or stopped. (Hence why it's "event.d" - it's a directory for scripts that are ran on a specific event.)

So you'd have to add that to the load.sh script.

Also, keep in mind, in my experience running the bleeding edge drivers causes spontaneous reboots when connecting to an ad-hoc wireless network. So you'll be in for a jarring reminder of that if you forget after setting your N900's default driver to the bleeding edge one, and then go to connect to an ad-hoc network.
