can some one please guide me on how to flash the OS back the nokia n900. i have downloaded and installed the flasher. i have also downloaded the latest firmware but everytime i type in the command it asks for a program to open it with. can someone please assist me with the next step needed to be taken.....by the way my phone kinda crashed after downloading this so called enhancer. . but can some oneplease assist

I'm assuming you are running windows because you said about `asks for a program to open with'.
The firmware files are not executables themselves. They are just binary blobs which you must use the flasher to flash them with. Have a read here.
