i'm having problems with my n900 , I used conky to find out what is going on and it seems obexd is using all my CPU .

i've backtracked the lates changes I made and it's like this :
- updated libcd-mixer package ( i don't think it's this )
- updated Nokia Suite ( on computer )
- updated Enhanced BusyBox shell

to fix this i've uninstalled Enhanced busybox ... no change
next i've installed it back ( the enhanced busybox shell ) and uninstalled nokia suite and drivers . This seems to have done it .

i'm installing now the conectivity drivers and nokia suite
yeey ! it seems the problem is gone .
i've followed instructions here and flashed 2-3 times correctly to fix some problems I had ( not now , few weeks ago ) . I rarely post here but I will always be gratefull for your posts with usefull info .

I love this phone and just when I think it's gonna meet the end and get replaced it makes sh**t work and amazes me how good it makes me feel when i'm learning new stuff every day !

back to my problem : I don't know what happened and why , simptoms were also losing acces to files ... i've been trying to delete some files and it said "acces denied" , unable to remove apps too . after a restart it worked , but if connected to PC it would start going crazy again .

i hope this problem is solved , as it seemed to be related to the obexd ( i think it has to do with communication with the PC , it sets the phone to read only so that the PC can operate in it without restrictions ... just my idea i'm not sure )

as a side note i'd like to know how I can connect my phone to PC and see on the PC the screen of my computer and operate on it ( something like remote desktop ) i'm sure that it is simple but I haven't found anything so far . Using windows xp on computer .

I've got to the same problem , it seems that I have a problem with the maps on my phone

when going to the maps menu in nokia suite the application keeps loading and the process obexd starts and uses all the CPU

i will try and remove the maps from my phone , wish me luck

I still have this problem , only when I plug in the USB cable and select NOKIA SUITE mode .

The error when I try to switch to MASS STORAGE mode is :

Memory is read only until fixed
Try fixing memory with a PC after plugging in USB cable
Create back-ups first to save existing memory .

how can I fix it ?

it is fixed now .
I connected the phone in mass storage mode , used a defragmenter to defragment the phone memory , it was about 5-6% fragmented .

after this I ran chkdisk with find & fix errors , no more problems after this

I hope it's fixed forever now ...
