Was thinking about this today, wouldn't it be cool if you could somehow stream video from your tivo to the 770? Have been poking around the http://www.tivocommunity.com/ forums today to see if anyone has a standard stream to desktop mod out there yet.

I am guessing that you would need to do some on-the-fly downscaling in order to get it into a size even considered by the 770, but it would be quite cool.

Any ideas?

Ok, nevermind...Just found: www.DVREverywhere.com on TivoCommunity. Looks like it *should* work with the 770 and any Series2 device. I am on the road this weekend, anyone want to give it a shot with their 770? This looks really really cool.

If you've hacked your Tivo, you can use vserver+vlc to transcode and stream video at lower bitrates. I've done a little work on the tivo-vlc project - I just got the 770 so I'll have to try this out

It would be nice to use as a nas device also.
