...and what about num-lock? It sends something like a <mod2> signal, but the N800 doesn't seem to interpretate that as num-lock. BTW, this one is also sent via my new igo (thx Christmas 
)

Yeah, numlock sends a 0x77 code (thx xev), but the n800 doesn't seem to act on it.
I suspect that this is because an OS really has no idea which codes need to be re-interpreted as 0-9, from one keyboard to the next. My iGo has them on "qwertyuiop", but another keyboard might have them in a traditional "box" numeric-keypad layout somewhere else.
Not sure if this is the kind of thing xmodmap can resolve(?).

...and the '£' symbol is not recognized, too. Has somebody any clue? Some conf file to hack? Currently I'm looking for setkeycodes...

Something on the device (like the xmodmap idea) is probably the only way to go unless someone can hack the firmware on the iGo
