Day 3 with my tablet. I'm running OS2008 beta. It's crashed a few times, but a reboot handles the problem.

If I'm correct, there's 256 MB main memory. I have the OS, apps and data all on the main memory.

I installed the 128MB card that came with the n800 in the internal slot. This card is currently blank and will be replaced with an 8GB SDHC next week.

I haven't extended the virtual memory.

I'm not sure what should go where. I'm going to move my data to the internal card. I didn't noticed any options when installing the OS or applications.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to partition the internal 8GB card : 2GB for OS & apps and 6GB for data. Then use the 256 MB main memory to extend the virtual memory. This way I could copy the OS and apps onto a 2GB SD card for easy backup and recovery.

Any ideas or clues where to look?

I don't think you can use the internal 256 as swap, it is listed as an MTD (memory technology device) and not a MMC card.

Thanks. I'll partition and boot from an 8gb internal card. Just waiting on the official OS2008 and the card...

But what do I do with the 256MB MTD (memory technology device)?

Perhaps an emergency OS2008 in case of catastrophic failure of my internal card.

Thats the way the dual boot setup works, anyway. See the "Cloning OS to SD Card" thread here on itT. I'm not exactly expert in this area, but it worked for me.
