I was using my N810 today. I walked between buildings here at work which drops my connection. When I got back to my office the N810 cannot connect to anything on the internet. It gets the Wifi connection fine but browser and every other app now times out. This is the second time this has happened to this device. What is up with this thing?

Hard to say... Did you reboot and it's still an issue? Can you ping an internet server in the N810 terminal?

well I just flashed it. This is about the 3rd time I have had to do this on 2 different devices. It's getting old.

I have two routers in my home with one set up as a repeater. Sometimes when moving from one side of the house to the other I encounter a similar problem. I have always been able to resolve it by running the WifiInfo app and turning the power saving feature off. This has always eliminated my network timeout issues.

You can do the same thing by going through the connection settings, but you cand do it on-the-fly with WifiInfo, and you don't have to disconnect to do it. You can also see more connectivity info which may help you to further trobleshoot the problem.

Worth a try...it's easier than reflashing. Just don't forget that you turned it off because it drains your battery a lot faster. I can usually turn it right back on after the connectivity issue is resolved.

Thanks Chris,

I will try that. I have determined that it is associated with some Wifi change event. Last night I tethered the device to my BB phone and it worked nicely but when I switched back I no longer had connectivity. I wish I had got up and read this first as the device is flashing now . I hope this is the resolution because I really like this device but if I have to keep flashing it I just don't think I can live with it .
