I need help, I don't know how to get work those hyperlinks inside mail meaning that when there's link to webpage the link is underlined but browser doesn't start. Claws Mail is so good that I use it now all the time but some problems I can't solve by myself. Is it even possible or do I have to use that copy/paste funktion, it's quite difficult.

Great!

And, while we're at it, I posted these questions on the Maemo Users mailing list (altered here a little):

Could someone let me know how to do the following in Claws Mail? (Or,
let me know if they can't be done yet!)

1. Force download of entire messages rather than just headers (for offline viewing).
[ADRESSED] 2. Add working external web browser (I tried selecting Opera/new
window, but it's not working).
3. Add working external text editor.
4. Create a separate signature file for different accounts.
[ADDED] 5. Automatically set Claws Mail to download at periodic intervals.
[ADDED] 6. View html messages.

And, something I'd like to see fixed:
- Double-click responsiveness (opening emails in full-window mode seems harder than it should be).

Thanks!
Tim

Hi,
I'm one of Claws upstream developers, and I'm working with Jean-Luc to improve the Maemo port. So, to answer your questions:

1. You can do that (on IMAP, I presume) by tap-and-hold'ing the root IMAP folder, choose Properties, Check "Synchronise for offline use" (and Apply to subfolders on the right - you'll probably have to scroll horizontally). Then apply; once that's done, when you click on the "Work on/off-line" icon at the lower right corner, Claws will ask if you want to synchronise your folders. Say Yes, wait for it to be done, and that'll be cached locally.

2. Will work with tomorrow's packages

3. We'll look into it

4. You can create a text file containing your signature, and choose it in your Account's properties, Compose tab. Normally you can directly launch the editor from there, but that depends on 3...

5. This is settable in Preferences/Receive.

6. That'll work once we will have solved the dependancies problems for the Gtkhtml2 plugin.

7. Yes, indeed. It's been fixed, by adding a new icon in the toolbar to open mails. However as the toolbars are customizable, you won't see it until you go to Preferences/Toolbars/Main window and choose "Use default" (scroll horizontally, probably

HTH,
Colin

For the answer of the request 1, "tap-and-hold" will work with tomorrow's packages too.
