I've just this evening upgraded my Nokia 770 to OS2007HE, and things are generally nice and shiny, but I'm having one or two problems - specifically with MPlayer and with UKMP (I don't know if these are related or not, so have posted about UKMP in a seperate thread).
I initially installed mplayer from the OS2007 repositories, and so an n800 version was installed. I ran this from the applications menu, but when I clicked a video and selected play, nothing happened. So, I removed this version of mplayer, and grabbed the .deb for the latest 770 mplayer. However, this gave me two further problems: a) there was no mplayer entry added to the application menu, and b) running mplayer from a terminal results in a segfault!
What's the secret to getting mplayer to work on OS2007HE on a 770?
Thanks,
James Frost
