Carman - although this is installable, the latest version does not work on 2008. I would think the INDT team is very busy with the canola app, but it would be nice to get this working again.

Gconf-editor - this was a handy tool to look at the config of the system and apps installed in a graphical manner. again would be nice to have that functionality back.

btscanner - this was a neat little do-hicky for finding bluetooth enabled devices within reach. it was a bunch easier to run that btaudit and had a better UI, i thought.

has anyone heard news of these being updated and ported?

i belive i have seen btscannre in one of the repos, but im not sure if its a 08 version...

I have also tried, but failed to install btscanner. If it does exist for OS2008, can anyone provide a .deb or something, or a link at least?
