What I am looking for is a program for the N8x0 that will be a daemon that collects GPS info maybe every 15 minutes or once an hour for a couple of minutes, stores it in a GPX then when a Wifi or phone or whatever connection is established it emails it, or uploads info to an FTP server then erases the existing file and starts over??

Thanks...

Hello:
Not sure what your end use of the gps data will be used for...but it seems like a gps data logger might work.
i.e.

Well, yes and no.. I have a data logger... Problem is then I still have to connect it to a PC and download the data... What I want to do is automate that.. Maemo Mapper in the 810 does a great job of tracking, but I want it (or a script run on a cron job) to upload that data to an FTP site or email, and then erase that file and start again..

GPStracer might do the job.
