Help,

My media libarary continues to show two podcast files, even though I can not find those files using file manager. All attempts to delete the record of the files in the library result in an error message "unable to delete some items". Anyone know where the folder is that holds media player libarary files so I can delete the record directly?

Meant to say, it is a new Nokia N810

I had this same issue with OS2008 on my N800 although for me it was music files. I couldn't find a way to force a rescan of the media, but deleting the directory in file manager did the trick. That's not quite so helpful to you, but you could try temporarily renaming it and then running media player.

Thanks for your help! Did not seem to be able to delete the directory in file manager, library is not a directory.

Problem was resolved with help from a member who told me to update the operating system software on the Nokia website. An unintended consequence of updating the software is that it cleared the glitch.

Easier fix for this problem is:

1. Open X terminal and use following spell to remove irritating media bug:

Code:
rm .meta_storage
(This removes file which contains information of the all media files system has found. It seems to think every now and then that there are files which really aren't in the file system anymore.)

2. Remove memory card and insert it back to carry out media file scan or reboot the tablet.
