The lanyard discussion for the N810 reminded me that I saw an interesting gadget at Radio Shack (The Source by Circuit City here in Canada) the other day.

It is a wrist lanyard that doubles as a Male-A to Mini-B USB cable. It's quite ingenious actually. The cable folds over on itself, and the two connector ends get concealed in a small box. That small box is where the lanyard end attaches to. Its quite portable, and would be useful for the ITs as a replacement to the Nokia-supplied cable which is quite long. As the above thread shows, it's possible to use a lanyard with the N810, so it would be very practical for N810 users with that adapter that is available from Amazon that was talked about in another thread.

The lanyard cables come in a two-pack for $39.99 as shown here. The hub that is shown is not included.

They do sell that powered 4-port hub for $29.99, and that comes with one of these lanyard cables. The A/C power adapter is not included. I could not find this product on their website.

Other sources includes:

X-treme Geek has them for $7.99 + S/H

X-treme Geek also has a 1 foot long USB cable for $3.49 + S/H for those wanting a short cable to throw in their N800 kits. This product is due at the end of Feb/08.
