Yes, the N810 will work, I am not sure but maybe you suspect it is a phone; in that case, is not a phone.

It is not a cell phone however it can use a cell phones Bluetooth DUN to connect to the INTERNET. It will also work with a WiFi INTERNET connection.
Without an INTERNET connection it should not be considered as the device does not have very robust applications pre-installed. Aa a stand alone device, at best it could be considered a very expensive music/media player or USB mass data storage.

Yep, as previously stated, the devices main use is to browse/surf the internet using a wifi connection or BT connection when paired with a cell phone.

I think jsm means GSM - A Cell Data Network -- GSM IS NOT REQUIRED for the N810

The N800 is not a phone.

You can't put a SIM card in it. You can't make normal cell phone calls.

It connects to the internet if you have a phone already or if you have wifi.

So it is not what you want.
