not sure what the correct terminology is but I'm looking to ditch the standard boot screen with the blue progress bar and the cheesy hand-holding-hand splash screen with the horrible audio sample.
what i would prefer to see is what's actually happening during the boot process. i'd like to see some console output instead.
possible? please advise!
