So, the fastest tablet in the west...

During my flight to Gran Canaria I decided to check of the altitude and speed the onboard tv thingy was correct. As my new n810 has GPS I thought I would give it a go and see if I could still acquire a sat fix and get some data. Sure enough I managed to get a decent fix (Did take a while though) and pulled up the lat / long, speed and altitude.

How cool huh?

Halfway to the Canary Islands travelling at 792.3 km/h!

Cool; however, if we're talking commercial airlines....that's really not THAT fast.

I got a bad fix over the Xmas break that pegged me north of Richmond VA going 475 mph when I was really in SC doing 70 on the highway. Wish I would have gotten a pic ...

Few times on transatlantic flies from US to Europe with nice tailwind I have seen the airplane flight stats screen showing slightly over 1000km/h speed...
