Wall Street Journal at CES: Internet Tablets from Microsoft

Here's a quote from the article:

The exact royalty Microsoft charges for software on such devices is not known, but Linux will likely be free, or at least very inexpensive.
My guess M$ would get at least ~ $80 per device.

What a joke! Anyone who has ever tried a Windows Portable device knows what dogs they are; terrible memory and power management, sluggish interface...

On the brighter side, some competition might spawn more innovation.
