Short Answer: No
Long Answer: You don't want to know. Eventually people will hack the device enough so a USB -> VGA -> TV will work. Does it work now? Yes, for slide shows, but not anything else really.

What? Did you do a google search on the size before posting. I don't want to be rude, but its only right to do your research before asking questions. One second on google gave me this.

And it is big enough to share with some friends, if the room is only medium loud.

I would say maybe 1-2 people max can view it. It's small, and the speaker isn't too loud either.

When I was a little boy, long time ago, there were only black-and-white tv sets. Novelty shops sold rectangular fresnel lenses, painted in cyan in the higher part, then pink then brown going downwards. They were said to change b'n'w into color tv's :-)

Maybe you can put a Fresnel lens in front of your NIT screen, to see movies together with your friends!

Well, you could always point a video camera at the screen, and connect that to a TV...

The speakers on the N800, at least, aren't bad at all. I have found a trick to get even higher volume out (speakers or headphones), but it's quite respectable without.

The screen is viewable from quite a wide range with no color flips or anything, but it's a 4" screen. I guess how many people can watch depends on their eyesight...

(Honestly, they sell fresnel lenses (or did ~3 years ago, I saw them then) to place in front of a monitor and use it as a projector. I think a fairly dark room would be required, but that's possible.)

That size comparison tool is GREAT! To compare sizes of things, I have been known to make full-size cardboard mock-ups. But that tool could save me quite a bit of time. And cardboard!
