While listening to music on rhapsody if Pidgin tried to make a sound (like new im notification) a box would pop-up with a DSP error causing the Pidgin to quit and rhapsody to stop playing.
I tried the ALSA and ESD sound option in pidgin preferences to no avail. What did help is choosing command mode and putting in this command:
play-sound %s 99
Pidgin replaces %s with the wav file and 99 is the volume (i think, couldn't find documentation so i guessed)
