I am off to Indonesia to do some volunteering soon hurrah. I am planning to break things up with some stays in hotels/places that I know have wifi access. I would like to be able to talk to/email my family whilst I have this access.
A laptop is too cumbersome but a Nokia tablet looks perfect for my needs...
OK, here are my questions...
1) Will a tablet work with all wifi access, is all wifi by nature broadband?
2) Bluetooth. If I use my mobile phone bluetooth to 'make the tablet get the internet' (!) will my mobile phone provider charge me an arm and a leg for doing this or is it just a channel and I won't get charged? Will my phone be able to 'find' the internet whichever country I am in.
I cannot find the answers to these questions anywhere on the web- I am obviously supposed to just know these things.
Does it look like the N800 would be a good buy for me or do you think it wouldn't work...??
Please resist the temptation for sneering responses- I already know I'm useless!!
Any advice more than gratefully received
Cheers
