Just flashed my N800 with the above Os. Since then have been doing finger olympic, using my index finger to turn the tablet on and off, and on and off, and on, and off for a total 28 times. They all work, no power on problem, so far...............keep my finger crossed.

Edit: I stop at 40 'cause my index finger is getting sore, and I think 40 is good enough.

Edit: A little bit background history. I got my N800 from Buy.com 12/03/2007 and has since suffered from the power on problem. It works 100% when plugged in and powers up only 1 out of 2 when on battery. I have since get around by doing software reboot until ............................. TODAY, yeh!


Edit: I love to the turn the tablet on and off. I just did another 10 times. I know I am going to kill the switch eventually if I do not have self discipline. For those reading this thread. Save torturing your [-], I have done it 50 times with NOT one fail. I will continue to use my software switch that I have put on my desktop, but I now know I can turn my tablet on and off AT WILL, ha.

I dont know. I hooked the tablet to the PC, and fired up the update wizard, and wizard displayed... 'most recent release of ......2007.51-3'. I did not pay attention to the first part of the file name. And after installation, Ctrl panel>about product> OS 2008 Version 2.2007.51-3.

Just out of interest, where was your device manufactured? My N800 and N810 were made in Finland and don't seem to show this behavior. But I haven't tried 50 times.
