Although Iīm new to linux, and new to the N800 (only have it for a couple days), i find it very simple to use.

Since I wanted to do some video conferencing between my N800 and MSN users, i proceded to install aMSN in my tablet.

I followed the steps recomended and all went well. I downloaded the .deb files and installed them in the recomended order. The program executed ok.

After MSN loaded i pressed the video button, and was presented with the audio and video configuration on the program.

I then ejected my camera, and the default OS2008 software associated with it popped up. Although I closed the window imediatly, I could see the video feed was ok!

When in the video configuration on aMSN a video window appeared. Image was all purple tinted, but I proceded nevertheless thinking I could correct it after. When the Brightness, color, white correction, etc screen appeared, nothing worked (I believe this is normal), so no correction could be made. I then proceded to the audio section.

Audio made my table block, so I had to reboot it, but after reboot and a new try all went ok. Configuration was ended succesfully.

Video feed kept with a purple tint, and I then noticed that all other camera software had now the same tint.

Uninstalled aMSN and all itīs libraries. The problem was still there.

I then flashed my OS2008 again. With no luck! Image is still purple tinted, and I believe the amsn video driver messed with my colors and white balance settings.

Is there any recomendation or help you guys can give me to try and reset the camera to itīs original values? (I believe this is a software problem, although re-flashing didnīt reset it)

Ladies and gentlemen, Its now possible to run aMSN and do webcam msn chats! I tried the very ruff MSN build that is found here http://kakaroto.homelinux.net/~kakaroto/n810/ and with the instructions that where posted at this forum http://www.amsn-project.net/forums/v...er=asc&start=0
I simply installed it and started a webcam session with my laptop! Works just fine though the aMSN build is very slow, eats memory etc.. but I guess the developers might fix this as they continue to work on it!
