I'm having an interesting problem and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

When I type about:config and hit enter in microb... the browser locks up and I have to kill the application for it to become responsive again.

I have fairly bone standard apps installed, skype, 2008 comm update and a few sdl games.

Any ideas? I tried searching with no luck.

Your not alone. Mine does too. Where is about:config located?

It is stored in prefs.js. If you delete it microb recreates it with the default values..

I deleted prefs.js but it still locks up when I try to bring it up

Is there any other tricks to pull?

Running latest firmware, just recently flashed the device from scratch.

I had the same problem back in Dec. when i first got my tablet. It takes FOREVER to load the about:config thingy, but it is loading. Start it, then come back 10-20 minutes later it will show up. Pain in the *****, but it works.

I had the same problem where the about:config stopped loading. I had added some new software.. not sure what it was now. I completed a restore from backup from a previous week, and it started working normal again. It now loads instantly as it did originally.

you might try a restore.. unless you gave that a shot already... it worked for me.

You could also delete all browser settings (or search the forum ).

Is there any explanation for this about:config bug ?

I tried to set the minimum font size but it never worked
but I think I will wait until it's fixed to try it again... if there was any other preferences/options like firefox for this browser it might be acceptable.. what it has available for easy user configurability is very poor
I hope they have it working a bit better in the next update.
