I have compiled olsr 0.5.5 olsr-pluins and the linux gtk olsr-gui its all just a simple compile using mud builder program and I wrote my own simple program to start and stop olsr from the gui. It's not finished yet as I haven't added it into a package or been able to work out how to add it into the menu's yet.

Let me know if you want me to upload anything

As a side note I haven't programed anything before and this is all based from tuts I have found over the net in the last 2 days

Sounds cool

When you say about adding it to the menu, do you mean the application menu?
You place a *.desktop file in /usr/share/applications/hildon/

Check the quake 1 thread for a OTT .desktop file I modfied.

Thanks for the port, a package would be nice. I also wanted to port olsrd, I just waited for version 0.5.6 because of the fixed math changes. There's a known bug in 0.5.5 (check at olsr.org) so I hope a new release will come soon.

Yeah I noticed the bug that was mentioned and was going to do the same, but decided to compile it (super easy with Mud) and try get my hands dirty with some simple glade and python tuts, Olsr already has a package I've made which doesn't include an init.d package hence why I had a go at the start stop program, in the next few days I can package it up with the menu button and added files to sudoers.

According to olsr.org 0.5.6 will be released around 10th May and there's a rc1 already.
