Sunday 4 pm just trying to get ready for tomorrow workday.........found out my Videocenter is broken! I cannot live without Videocenter. NO!

Did not do anything lately, other than the OS2008 Feature upgrade. Indeed, what is that? "Updates to Email and Browser stability." I do not use Email and my browser was fine. What on earth I have to do with OS2008 Feature upgrade? It is really a bad judgemnet on my part.

Videocenter runs, loads, everything except cannot use internal player, the media player. Whenever it was used, "media player unable to play" I have never seen that error message before and has no clue what is that. I uninstalled VC and reinstalled, same error. Kmplayer playing WorldTV99 is fine. Mediabox Mediacenter also plays fine. So, media player is NOT broken, it is VC. Any idea?

......No? Ok, can i uninstall OS2008 Feature upgrade. "Unable to uninstall...." KJ you are right, this is a load of crap.......... on a Sunday 4 pm, HMJ!

Calm down,....., it is already 5pm, I need to get ready for tomorrow and Olympic closing ceremony is just 90 min away....The brilliant N810 is now going into a drawer and RIP, and I am going back to my 770, which has NOT been hurted by the owner's stupidity. And has everything I want, web browser, Skype/2007He, Videocenter/2007He, Maemomapper/2008He/BT GPS and GVM for the medicine apps, and Gnumeric for my office use.

Sigh................ :-]

Not a fan of a faster MicroB, then?

Erm, that doesn't follow. All the other things you mention use mplayer for playback. Have you tried configuring Videocenter to use mplayer, too?

Sounds more like it's time to chill the hell out.

Thanks for GA comes to help.

Well, VC using mplayer is stuttered so badly that you cannot watch. And mplayer plays fine with kmplayer as front. Again, probably VC is broken, not the players. Any idea where to go from here, ...., If this is Saturday, I will go straight kick the neighboor dogs/cats, squash some watermelon and then go cursing N*&#a and straight to refresh my N810 which has so much goodies installed.....but not on a Sunday 5:15pm

Edit: What is that error message "unable to play", I have never seen that error message before!
Edit: I just repeat it, I configured media player in kmplayer and it worked fine. I really think it is VC, not the player.

Videocenter downloads the movie files somewhere predictable, no? Just download with Videocenter and play with something else (GMPlayer might be a good option).

Yup, VC download is fine. I just cannot play anything with VC. And mediaboxmediacenter is playing alright and GMPlayer should. Well, you are right, it is NOT such a big deal. I am just angry and worry what else got broken. For the time being, I am going back to my ex, the 770.

On some other videoes, VC configured to mplayer also played fine. So, the problem is very specific to media player. I also played with internal/external memory and dl vs streaming, same error message, "unable to play." Could be a very simple fix....

Except, it isn't, at least here.
And the browser topping itself makes it more difficult to load pages in the background.
And I'm experiencing various other problems with the new browser (though I started seeing them with diablo, not with the latest upgrade).
