Hey all,

Free made a reference to an application called qbrew that uses qt4. See his post at http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...8&postcount=14.

I would also like to install this program, but I'm need a little help getting started. I've downloaded the armel compiled deb from debian, but need help install qbrew and its dependencies. Can any one offer any assistance?

Ideally, I would like a hildonized version, but that would require a little more work...unless someone is willing to help. THanks.

Okay, I managed to get qbrew installed by first taking the red pill, then installing libqt4-core and libqt4-qui. After that I started a terminal and sudo gainroot. I navigated to the directory where I downloaded qbrew (which I got from debian), and ran dpkg -i qbrew... So it took me a little while of experimenting, but its working now.

If I may hijack my own thread....If I use the Maemo live cd (forgot the name) can I compile a qt4 application to be hildonized? I believe there was a wiki about hildonizing apps at maemo. Is that correct? Thanks for the help.

Hildonizing something requires changing some of the code and can only be done with GTK apps. You'd have to rewrite the whole GUI part of the program. Sorry for the bad news.
