Hello all,

I'm visiting London U.K. for the first time on Wednesday this week with my family and am wondering if anyone here can advise me on where to find some convenient wireless hotspots I can use my 770 at- free or paid. Any open space areas like in NYC? or just in cafe's? I hope this is isn't too OT.

Also (and this is pretty OT, but since there are many "guru's" here), are there any suggestions on where to buy prepaid SIM cards for my cell? Do any come with a set amount of SMS and/or data minutes? This will be the first international trip I've taken my personal cell.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Hi there. I'm a Londoner, but I'm afraid I don't know of many wireless hot spots, and especially not free ones.

I believe there's a lot of wireless available in coffee bars, but I think you have to pay for it.

In Upper Street in Islingon there's a free WiFi called StreetNet - but I have not yet succeeded in connecting to it with my 770. (The 770 detects the ESSID, but the connection never stabilizes such that the W stops flashing - I guess because the signal is too weak.)

Finally, prepaid SIM cards - you can pick these up in almost any newsagent or Post Office, but what's included varies a lot so you'll have to check.

Regards - Neil

Great! Thank you for your helpful comments! We're looking forward to an enjoyable trip. I'll hit the Post for my sim first thing. Maybe I can get one with data service included. My Moto Slivr connects easily with the 770 so maybe I won't need to find a hot spot.

Thanks again!
