They have no immediate plans to offer it, but if enough people show interest, there is a chance that they will in the future.

If interested, send your comments here:

So, is anyone else interested in seeing Documents2Go on the N8x0 platform? It offers a decent word processor, spreadsheet and presentation program with MS file (Word/Excel/Powerpoint) compatibility.

Actually, yeah, I'd like to see DocsToGo on the Maemo platform. Having a full Office suite would be nice, and DocsToGo's compatibility with MS Office is excellent (at one point it was actually more compatible with Office than the Pocket Office apps that came with Windows Mobile!). And, truth be told, there IS a version that runs on Linux: the DocsToGo that was to ship with the ill-fated Palm Foleo. It's unclear how close Palm's Foleo Linux was to Maemo, so I'm not sure what kind of porting effort it would require. It may involve using libraries that are Palm-proprietary. ACCESS Linux Platform uses GTK as a graphic library, so porting from that shouldn't be terribly hard. Unfortunately, it's unclear how close Palm's Foleo Linux is to ALP (most likely, not very close at all).

I'd love to have this. It seems to make a little more sense now with the keyboard on the N810. It's not the big difference-maker, but it definately helps to make docs and spreadsheets more useable.

(Request entered. Swarm them with this request and it shouldn't be hard for them to make a Maemo version.)

I think that an app like Docs2Go on the Maemo platform would do a lot to bolster N8x0's sales and market position. It could be the one package that could win over a lot of people to the platform, especially Palm devotees. I also would like to see a version of HandBase for Maemo. That would really be cool...

I am also interested. By the way is there any application that already allows me to just view Excel, Word, and PPT files (on Nokia 810)?

I know, we are maybe asking too much for a device which is intended for our Internet experience, but I believe the NIT has potential to do more and fit many needs.

I would buy. I also like their Smartlist To Go. Best portable database software going.
